LetterinBerlin is a studio for lettering, which is an individually drawn solution to accomplish your purpose. We draw lettering for book and record covers, packaging, logos and logotypes. In addition, we develop corporate and display fonts as well as visual identities for companies, brands and campaigns.
LetterinBerlin stands for appealing design solutions with letters. We direct our attention to creating distinctive identities, appropriateness of letter-based solutions for a given target, and high quality in drawing and realization.
Type and custom lettering are crucial elements of a good visual identity. As trained type designers with many years of experience in font technology we provide creative and solid solutions based on our specialized knowledge.
LetterinBerlin is the cooperative venture of Elena Albertoni and Fritz Grögel.
¶ Elena Albertoni (* Bergamo), studied graphic design in Amiens and type design at École Estienne in Paris. Since 2004 she has been living in Berlin and working for Lucas de Groot’s Lucasfonts, where she rounded off her expertise in letter drawing and font production. At the same time she built up her own type foundry, Anatoletype, where she publishes her own typefaces. She was awarded twice in the prestigious competition of New York’s Type Director’s Club.
¶ Fritz Grögel (* Wassertrüdingen), studied communication design at FH Potsdam, École Estienne in Paris and Escola superior de Desenho industrial in Rio de Janeiro. From 2006 to 2009 he worked as a senior designer in corporate design for Fuenfwerken Design AG. In 2010 he acquired the Type]Media master in type design at KABK in The Hague. He has accepted several offers to teach applied typography.
